The Wild Coast a unique wonderland
Hole in the Wall Hotel and Holiday Village is situated on a secluded tropical bay in the heart of the Wild Coast, in a small town called Coffee Bay. The resort offers some of the most picturesque scenery in South Africa and is also the ideal base from which to explore the pristine Transkei coast.
Hole in the Wall is a one-of-a-kind landmark surrounded by history and legend. The name Coffee Bay originated after a legendary shipwreck in the year 1893. The ship was carrying coffee beans when it ran aground, scattering them far and wide. It is believed some of the beans took root, providing the town with beautiful coffee trees.
This secluded location makes it the perfect destination for a relaxing vacation at our resort. The Hole in the Wall resort has 28 spacious self-catering chalets overlooking the ocean, each containing a living room, kitchen and private braai area. The facilities onsite include a pool, cocktail bar, games room and pool tables. The Cellu-Beauty Spa offers a range of delightful massages, therapies and beauty indulgences to leave you looking and feeling rested and relaxed.
The Wild Coast has many lagoons, rivers and estuaries, which are ideal for boating and canoeing enthusiasts. Coffee Bay and Hole in the Wall offer a great spot for shore angling. There is also snorkelling, diving and surfing in the area. Hole in the Wall also has amazing hiking trails, which will allow you to experience the breathtaking views, the peace and tranquillity of this natural setting.
